Finding an Appropriate Foundation

One of my worst has-been—and it is always bound to happen again—is the urgency to choose a new foundation because the one I’ve been using isn’t available at C&F anymore (which is a chain of cosmetics and fragrance stores, where the name, as Sephora in Lebanon). Now that came off as a little heart break…  my last foundation, Perfection Lumière de CHANEL in 40 Beige, was undoubtedly the best fit for me: long-wear, subtly perfumed, light with a matte finish—I wasn’t anticipating to convert. Yet, here I was asking the girl behind the CHANEL counter desperately if they were getting Perfection Lumière in 40 Beige anytime soon—they weren’t. I went around the place checking nearly all the makeup counters: MAKE UP FOR EVER, BOBBI BROWN, and CLARINS to name a few. Finally, I got my hands on Shiseido’s advanced hydro-liquid compact in I40 natural fair ivory; it is the ultimate solution between fluid foundation and compact powder. In fact, Shiseido’s advanced hydro-liquid compact has a light creamy texture that allows it to spread on your face evenly and reduce all imperfections; it was my answer for a young and fresh face. Although the compact refill might be less costly than CHANEL’s foundation, it is needed to buy the Shiseido’s compact case. Overall, it accounts for the same price—more or less. I also bought Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizer in Medium: it is great for everyday use when you want to look effortlessly good. What I like about it mostly is the color tint that brings a warm glow to my skin; plus it moisturizes well and has sunscreen SPF 15—both Chanel and Shiseido foundations mentioned here have SPF 10. Thanks, God it was a happy ending, I don’t think it would have mattered to have either foundation now. Later, I’m planning to buy a makeup fix spray… I think it’s going to be the Make Up For Ever Mist &Fix.
