A bowl full of cold water and ice cubes
Cookware and Cutlery:
Two saucepans, one that is at least 2-quarts (preferably 3-quarts) big to use for sugar
Wooden spoon
Whisk wire

Note: It is important that you make sure all ingredients are ready because the recipe cannot wait, otherwise the sugar may burn

1.Boil the whipping cream in a saucepan.
2.Meanwhile, Put the sugar in a separate saucepan and heat until it colors, stir with a wooden spoon vigorously to prevent sugar to stick and burn at the bottom of the saucepan.
3. As soon as the sugar crystals have melted and tanned, add the butter and whisk until the butter has melted.

4.Take the saucepan off the heat and add the whipping cream. Mix well over heat; let it boil again for several minutes.
Note: The color of the caramel has a consequence on its taste; the darker the color, the more pronounced the taste is.

5.Put the saucepan in a bowl full of cold water and ice cubes and let it cool off (Very Important, Do not skip this step).
