Weekly Fashion News (03/03-9/03)

   A VOGUE café, club and GQ bar will open in Singapore later this year. An additional Vogue club will launch in Bangkok at the same time, A Dubai Vogue café and GQ bar will open later this year. A GQ bar in Istanbul is due to debut at the end of this month. 



   CONDÉ NAST INTERNATIONAL invested $20 million into luxury online retailer Farfetch.com and acquire 26% share of high-end furniture and interior design company Monoqi.



   Tina Turner graces Vogue Germany Cover for her first time ever at age 72, the singer was also reportedly to be the oldest Vogue cover star ever.



   Hedi Slimane is not only rebranding YSL, now called Saint Laurent Paris, but he is also determined to make the brand transformed back to its historical roots of the fashion house. Recently, He has decided to relocate the Paris boutique to Paris' Left Bank area, moving to a 17th-Century townhouse called L'Hôtel de Sénecterre at 24, rue de l'Université. 


   Having previously hosted Project Runway and appeared as a judge on Germany's Next Top Model, Heidi Klum is joining the America’s got Talent panel for the next season.

   Marc Jacobs is starring in “Disconnect”, a movie set to hit cinemas this April in the US. “Disconnect” reflects on a group of characters struggling with the negative effects of the digital age - with Jacobs' getting the closing line of: "Trust no one, only me."—he says at the end of the trailer.



   ZARA owner, Amancio Ortega, is fashion's richest man, according to Forbes' 2013 Billionaires List. He is reported to have a fortune worth $57 billion, an increase of $19.5 billion of last year’s sales. LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault only ranks at number 10 with a $29 billion fortune.



    Cecile a new British brand selling slogan T-shirts is Cara Delevingne’s new favorite, and well she has done a great deal of marketing of the brand to the rest of the world.


   Last Tuesday H&M’s new high-end label, &Other Stories, launches in London in its debut store on Regent street.
 

   PPR is to change name for a purpose of rebranding. (PPR stands for Pinault-Printemps-Redoute.) The luxury conglomerate wishes now to be known as a luxury and sporting goods specialist following the sale of online retailer La Redoute last month, as it moves away from its retail assets.

  Paul smith created a T-shirt in collaboration with David Bowie to celebrate his latest music album, The Next Day.
