Over the Weekend

I understand there is no sun, yet in France—and I can imagine in the US as well—I followed up the news, on M6 or TF1 channel probably, and I do understand your frustration, the sun hasn't come up yet and it is spring—it is almost summer here in Lebanon, seriously. So as a compensation, I captured the sunset from my rooftop for you—YES YES—the view of the sun laying down on its bed, the Mediterranean sea.

Here, the sun was still above the sea clearly

Some yachts sailing through the orange water through the lens of my camera

The sun barely touches the sea, here. I performed the one third composition method for this picture; the focus, namely the sun, is on one third of the frame.

Besides that, my supermom got me the shoes I’ve been lusting over, Topshop Premium shoes, that’s how they called them. I will be happy to wear them and show you very soon, I must!

Topshop shoes, mine.

Yesterday Sunday, I went out with family, drove down to Beirut, the capital, had lunch in Zeytuna bay, this amazing place and went back to finish my English research paper—tomorrow I submit online, finally.
I was wearing ZARA shorts and T shirt, my white leather converse, Balenciaga red clutch, and YSL sunglasses, oh and I nearly forgot, the “big fat” Marni x H&M monochrome jacket.

Just Love to carry my Balenciaga red clutch around, because I don't have that many opportunities to and I am more of a tote person

Bullet Points

I am a very honest and straightforward person, and I believe conciseness in a talk is vital. I hate repetition...My parents would repeat to me some things over and over again... Sometimes I wish they could just speak in bullet points... My dad particularly.

*What's hiding inside my Topshop shopping bag? Cool stuff, I hope to show you soon.
*I really enjoyed talking to my operations management instructor today, He has a bold and brilliant mind and he is a sweetheart, always glad to help and give advice. His office has an amazing back view to the sea.
*There is a must-happen rule that says every once in a while, you will have unhelpful teammates and you will end up doing the project by yourself. Bad luck.
*I plan to work this summer for next year's nominations of the SMA Beirut awards (social media awards). My university advisor turned out to be one of the judges, as well as many alumni. I am very blessed to have an advisor whose major interests are marketing and social networking. I could use some advice to boost and improve on my blog.
*I payed a visit to The Kooples new store in Lebanon. The things I liked from their website wasn't available at the store. But even if I'm not very of a suit person, theirs are just perfect.
*While I was writing this at night,I fell asleep and slept with my Ipad as well. Apple, speaking of which, are rumored to be releasing colored versions for the Iphone 5S.
*I am going to a concert at night to see the band Pony Pony Run Run.
*Today at AUB, the university I go to, there's a job fair of many reputed companies, yet what caught my attention most, is the stand of L'Oréal Paris. They weren't prepared when I passed by, but I'll stop again in an hour.
*Finally today, I will finish my first piece of ceramic shoe collection. I will show you how it looks like soon, otherwise, you can check my Insta today, later in the evening!
*One last thought, people who are wearing the Fake Isabel Marrant are so damn annoying and you can SEE the suede quality and the bad stitching as well (there's a girl wearing em near me), I have the real ones, I paid for them a small worth-as-hell fortune, and I'm wearing them today (with my Revolution Zadig & Voltaire T-shirt). Too bad for the stupid.

Since its last move or “attack” on December 2011 and its increase in stake of the family owned business Hermѐs, LVMH has defended its acquisition as an unexpected result of financial investment. LVMH has refuted its intentions of taking over the brand, Bernard Arnault, founder and CEO of LVMH, added, “We want instead to be friendly supporters of one of France's finest companies - and that's all.” France's stock market regulator, AMF, will investigate on May 31 whether LVMH respected market rules, reports WWD, with a ruling report to be published later this summer.

Hot things I like now

Hedi Slimane

The first thing I am very appreciative of is Hedi Slimane’s position and his youthful empowerment of the brand Saint Laurent Paris. I must admit that I wasn’t very anticipating the change, I couldn’t tell if the sudden rebranding would be beneficial and critic-free to Yves Saint Laurent. While we’re mentioning the critics, they weren’t much keen on him during this first year. Hedi Slimane would be designing his first collection for women this spring, and according to some retailers, sales have gone up considerably. Jeffrey Kalinsky, founder of Jeffrey New York, said, “When we were buying the collection, I felt like I was seeing dollar signs.”  Certainly, Hedi Slimane’s rock chic sense might not have taken the fashion critics heart but it has taken ours. The 44-years-old designer is sending the right vibe to the young people and he will soon become acknowledged as the second bad boy of the brand. Mr. Bergé, companion of the late Yves Saint Laurent, said, “Hedi wants to shock”, he added, “When you are an artist, you are obliged to shock.”

In second place comes the new stripes pants I bought from the collection of a friend. I like the way the stripes are and it adds a sense of street style to any outfit.

Finally, I wanted to talk to you about this new place “color me” in a mall, here in Lebanon, where you can choose your piece of ceramic from the inventory available and you proceed in painting it then the place will glaze it and shine it for you before it is ready—the glazing step takes them about 10 days.
“Color me” has quite a variety of ceramics—dragons, peace signs, fairies, piggy banks, vase, cupcake boxes—when I saw the heels, I decided to make a different collection of these and show them in my room. But it was a bit sad that the colors they had were pretty much flowers and nature colors, not especially the ones I would like to have on shoes. After all, I chose some colors, I tried out something, and I will see how it turns out to be with the glazing. But I might go to the place again and make some changes to it, perhaps add some other colors.
Starting Point

Halfway done through the designing process

There was also nice plates and I want to do these next. I want to decorate them and use them in the recipes for my blog. This time however, I am going to do some research and come prepared for my creative assignment.
