Fashion Weekly News (01/04-07/04)

Rumors confirmed, Nicola Formichetti has joined Diesel as its first artistic director. It's believed that the designer will be responsible for the "total view of the Diesel brand", reports WWD - including overseeing the product, marketing and communication divisions. "I want him to do bigger things, different things. This is the right man to take the next step for a young company and a brand for people who are young of mind," said Diesel chief Renzo Rosso. "I finally met somebody as crazy as I am. I have replaced myself and can go on vacation." Nicola's first advertising campaign for the brand will launch on September. Well, we can only wait. Also, Diesel being one of my favorite brands, let us hope it doesn’t change much it just needs some kind of revitalizing.
