Shake Shack at ABC Ashrafieh

Have you tried Shake Shack in ABC Ashrafieh already? Well, it is not much different than the one in City Centre. Actually, they even transferred some staff to the new location in order to keep up with the same standard quality of service—smart.

To me, a Shake Shack visit means typically that I am having the double-patty-extra-cheese Shack Burger. Last time, I thought I can change from what I usually order, and I decided to try the hot dog sandwiches. I picked the Shack-Cago dog that includes: Shack piquant sauce, onion, cucumber, pickle, tomato, sport pepper, celery salt and mustard. A different hotdog than the ones I got used to, (hotdog, cheese, mustard, ketchup, and crispy fries), which you can call a risk, but it's go hard or go home. One bite and I’m surprised: the pickle was not cheap (yeah I actually have issues with pickles) and the sport pepper was just mildly hot. Overall, I did appreciate this version of a Hotdog sandwich, I can have it again.

But I was still hungry! The hotdog didn’t fill me up as much as the double patty burger would. I didn’t mind having a frozen custard (or concrete). The very first time I tried it, I fell in love with it; I picked a vanilla flavored strawberry sauced ice cream with a Pistachio baklava (Lebanese sweet), the Beirut version of a Shake Shack concrete—heavenly.

My sister and I decided to share two frozen custards to be able to try different flavors: the strawberry Banana and the chocolate fudge. The mistake was to have anticipated the still-hungry situation and ordered the ice cream along with the hot dog and the fries. Don’t do that, ours melted. If you wouldn’t feel like getting up in the middle of your lunch/dinner, then consider asking the staff to prepare it for you after what, like 15-20 minutes that you have taken your main dish by the time you can finish it.

The strawberry and banana concrete... I'm mouthwatering just by the thought of it. The banana ice cream flavor really tasted natural, it also had pieces of banana and swirls of strawberry sauce—why did you make me talk about it? I need this, like Right Now. The chocolate fudge was good, just good, because I'm not much of a chocolaty type of person for desserts. I enjoy chocolate the most being in its purest form. Yet, I can think of a few people who would crave the chocolate fudge instead of something vanilla, strawberry, or banana. Luckily, there are enough concretes at Shake Shack to make everyone happy!

And I forgot to say that the french fries are better now, as in crunchier.

Yumyumyum the strawberry-banana concrete!

Walk a Mile in My Shoes

I bet you realized how obsessed I am with these Prada shoes. I wear them all the time and I really don’t seem to get bored of it—Wearing Prada doesn’t make me a devil though lol. I have already worn this outfit twice, once during daytime and once in the evening. What I like most about it is the casualty the denim shirt brings to an evening outfit, like for a night out pubbing, and the edgier feel the leather pants with the string on the sides will add to any daytime outfit. By combining denim and leather, you can carry out your outfit successfully throughout the entire day, perhaps, out from work or college to a date or hang out with friends.

Here, I was wearing a Vintage denim jacket, Topshop long-sleeved striped Tshirt, Isabel Marant x H&M leather pants, Prada denim slip-on sneakers, and Balenciaga city bag.

At the Launching of the Porsche Macan Turbo

Long awaited and finally unveiled, the Porsche Macan launching event was hosted yesterday at the trendiest nightclub in the country, O1NE Beirut. Invitees were gathered around tables where salted and sweet finger food and alcohol was available. I sat with my family near the bar facing the back of Macan and enjoyed the evening with nice music and the dancers show, which ended by pulling the sheet and unleashing the new Porsche. In addition, the CEO and general manager both made a speech describing Macan as an ultimate performance creation in matters of drive, safety, and comfort.
For this type of event, smart casual was an appropriate dress code. I was wearing a Zara overall, Hermes scarf, Saint Laurent Paris Betty Bag, and Christian Dior heels. As for accessories, I was wearing a Gucci watch and Pandora bracelets and rings, as well as a Swarovski ring.

Which color is your favorite?

The Concept of a Bouquet Garni

The “bouquet garni” is a bundle of aromatic herbs (fresh or dried) used to add flavor and enhance a nicer scent to soup, meat, poultry and fish/seafood. These herbs can be tied up with a kitchen spring or tidied up in a muslin bag to allow easy removal after cooking time.
For a traditional bouquet garni, the herbs should consist of 3 sprigs of parsley, 2 sprigs of thyme and 1 bay leaf. Additional ingredients can also be added according to taste and preferences, such as: an onion cut in half, a carrot, some ginger, a few whole black peppercorns, and even a piece of celery.

The herbs have etched a flowery taste on the cooked shrimps (prepared for spring rolls), which now taste a thousand times better!
